As far as i can tell it has made bugger all difference, the car seems ok when you get it wound right up, but maybe a bit sluggish through the gears but I may be wrong, havent driven a 2cv for ages. One thing id did change was the noise, I had to refit the torpedo as half a crossbox was almost as loud as a 2cv cross racer with no silencers at all!

Joolz, doesn't it make more sense to chop up the trashed one rather than £45 quid's worth of new one? Or did you break it properly?

the loudest and most throgh flow exhaust i made was on my ami. pulled hard and went great but caused tinitus and sarah wants happy!
crossbox, cut in half, hollowed out and then welded back together. swan neck welded to long 2cv pipe that exited mid rear door... sounded mint, went like stink but needed ear plugs! stil got it for those just in case single attendance events! you never know, this yr i may go tuning... still got the slotted flywheel hung on the garage wall... :)

Welded in my speaker mounts, apart from spending an hour or so dicking about with an amp that doesnt work, and having to run the (fairly pants) speakers off my head unit, it's looking good.

I'll get round to painting then at some point. (probably)

These are the pods with the speakers from the inside, they are just behind and about 6 inches above my head, so miles out the way, but close enough that i can hear it with the roof open! I'll be investing in some better speakers and a decent (working) amp at some point.

the idea of sticking them up there is they arent going to get kicked or bashed and hopefully, nobody will see them from outside (like pikey scumbags)
