Think you are right there. I see you are from up north, do you have dates for Waggel yet?

No dates yet :(
I check few times a week for the waggel dates..

they should mention them on the CCNL website:
www.citroenclubnederland.nl..
Hope to know them next month, so I can get the days off work...

In France you can ride these in your own commune without a crash hat [though you must carry a crash hat in case you venture outside the boundary]

Here we can ride without a helmet too.
Here we have 2 different licence plates:
a yellow with black numbers, these are for mopeds with a max speed of 45 km/h (speedlimiter). On this one you must wear a helmet.

For mopeds with a max speed of 25km/h (also speedlimiter) you will get a blue plate with white numbers.
A Solex, even with it's topspeed of 30-35 km/h, gets a blue plate, so no helmet needed. You can wear one.

In the UK, a Slowlex is legally exactly the same as any other <50cc/<30mph "moped". There's only a couple of small details (mainly minimum age of 16yo instead of 17yo, and no need for people with older car licences to take a separate test) between that and a "normal motorbike"... MOT is exactly the same, registration is normal, you need a "proper" helmet, insurance, licence, etc etc.

I think we should hold an I2F solex race at waggel.

It depends on the weather if I'm going to take the Solex to Waggel..
First I have to rebuild the back end of my car so the Solex fits upright in it...

Otherwise I can't take is anywhere by car.

But first it needs to run properly ;)

A Solex that runs properly...
This sounds like a cop-out roughly equivalent to "When Hell freezes over"...
