Just as I expected I'm having trouble installing an avatar. Every forum seems to be different. It keeps saying the avatar must be 'between 0 and 6 KiB' which to me is as clear as mud. Can I just have some diemnsions to work to or if I post someone the avatar, can they reduce it and add it on for me please.

Jeez, I've lived through farthings, groats, shillings, fathoms, hands, metres.........bloody pixels........now we have KiB.

 Welcome Paul good to see you here. I'm lost with the kb thing myself actually, I just guess and see if it's small enough to get away with.

It's fairly straightforward, Paul. 200x200 pixels max, maximum file size 6k. <shrug>

If you have a look at the file on your machine, through My Computer or whatever, it tells you what the file size is.

Fairly straightforward, hmm? I've tried reducing the image I have to 200x200 but it still comes back with the '0-6 KiB' message. The place I keep images says 640x480(VGA) or 320x240(QVGA) or % x % or pixels. The pixel option failed. I've added it here as an attachment as Max has offered to 'glue it on' for me. Thanks Max. (Slaps forehead in frustration).

Well a PARAMOUR is a lover and PARRAMORE is an American rock band (so I'm told). Either way, I'm flattered. My Concise Oxford English Dictionary doesn't list emotastic so I'm not as dumb as I look.

Thanks Max, you're a gent.
