i remember i looked at a aca-mixte (the one with the seats and sliding windows in the back) in a beige (well 2 or 3 varients of beige) looked fairly tidy on the outside. i then requested pics of the interior and he made the mistake of pulling the carpet away so i could see the box section/inner arch.... or where it should have been anyway. that kind of put me off it esp @ £1500?! good job really, if i hadnt got mine off spanners i wouldnt know about this place! ive got a new toy to play with soon for mine....watch this space!

Just caught up on this thread, gotta say, lovely van.

I adore my acad (ex-chap-meister) but i wish it was a bit cleaner in places.
Yours Neil is just lovely and beige is deffo the way to roll these days.

Makes me think i should get the welder, waxoyl and paint out.

It's coming along slowly, it aint that easy working on it in the pitch black with just a head torch - but i'm having a bit of a push at the moment to try & get it ready for the French national!

I've contacted van guru Pete & he's able to send me a dating letter to help with UK registration.

As soon as the front end's back together my friend is having it in his bodyshop to pop the 'screen, along with both van box windows to sort the localised areas of rot out & let in fresh steel.

Nice repair job, Ken. Mine were all ok, infact the goal post was 99% rust free, i was most surprised by it's condition! - i've utilised one of the original coil mount holes for the Harley coil mount, so i only had to drill one hole to mount it up properly.
