PMD wrote: Are there any English 2CV racers who will race this weekend in the "standard" Snetterton class? Or is the Flying Dutchmen the only one? Hopefully the English friends will drive! PMD hey dude, I'm pretty sure the only car from the UK series is yours, I might be wrong, but I don't think anybody else is planning on taking one over this year, certainly the team who ran the blue car last year (hollis) won't be there. You'll be suprised at how competitive your car will be in the Amerliore class, which I'm certain it'll be classified as, because that's what we had the Hollis car in last year. We didn't have the gearing to compete in some parts of the track, but round the corners our car seemed to have the edge on a lot of faster stuff. We finished, I think, 33rd last year, from 60+ finishers, and we had half an hour in the pits with a broken points cam. Looking forward to seeing you there, I think Geoff was waiting to hear from you about the flywheel?

 Re: Spa 2009
Indeed - rain is predicted for friday! Maybe it's a good idea to print one of these for general access and access to the paddocks (in case they start asking for entrance tickets): http://www.24h2cv.be/images/in...g_2009.jpg

 Re: Spa 2009
Nice one H!
My bottle of Czech Becherovka arrived today, it's fairly potent so we can toast all the good time we've had this year. Thierry sent me a map to a commercial centre in Lille where we're going to meet the french guys, My car's a shambles, I spent a while last night puting the stereo in and for some reason there is loads of interference from the alternator and you can't listen to it with the engine running. Smashing. I just need to change the oil, pray the car doesnt break, wire up a fag lighter I don't have, Pray the car doesnt break, do something about the bastard crossbox that rattles and drives me mad, Pray the car doesnt break, Pack all my camping gear, pray the car doesnt break, and apply a lot more gaffa tape to the roof. All while praying the car doesnt break.
