not sure on van diameter springs? plus the rates will be different. i would probably fit stiffer shocks for a start to help stop it bouncing and bashing the road so bad. my ami has some sort of home made ones on it where they were drilled, drained, welded and refilled with gearbox oil, you can change the oil depending on the viscosity you want and therefore the speed of movement and hardness.

springs are expensive and hard to change and annoying, especially on van or ami!

You sure?

Might be same diameter but are the cans the same length?

That rubber band, as far as I can see, does nothing, it doesnt appear to have a function on mine anyways. What i meant was the spring can mount is in a different place on an ami chassis to a 2cv saloon, because the can is a different length, but i don't know whether a van spring is the same length as a 2cv saloon or an ami, or whether it's different again..?

From looking underneath its no way as bad as it sounds, Seems a lot of the impact was on the chassis, but its started scraping on the crossbox too.

Can you see what i mean about the chassis having a slight kink?

I remember seeing this van buried in a garage before you got it.

You've done a grand job getting it going again.

Regarding springs we have played a lot with them for the 4x4s. Van, Ami and that have thicker wire and bigger diameter. They also don't have the rubbers on the ed of the cans. We can get special ones made to order.

Best to call Louis or PM me if you need more info on them...
