Years ago on my Dyane the spot welded leg came away at base:( The plastic versions don’t seem the fail…..

It broke 3 times near the nuts were it's fixed to the gearbox and once a the bottom of the filter front left... Very strange

Well it's welded up again and as i was busy i gave it a good clean. Strange place tot break isn't it?

55 arrived for check up and repairs. Drove here rather well the owner said.

Air filter box. The vibration makes that, and when welded, it will broke again near the welding. When I had that metal filter box in my Dyane, tried to weld it, and got bored with welding that few times a year, again and again...

The solution what lasted more than enough, was to make new brackets from 5x20mm steel, with that it was strong enough to lift engine-gearbox by that filter box out of engine bay...

well that's an idea...

Had done a lot of work on the 55. Repaired the clockwork direction indicator, The wiper/tacho drive, cleand the carb, put in an other fuel pump. And rebuild the front brake cylinders as the car was braking only on 1 rear wheel....

Well at least it was breaking at one wheel.
Better one than none at all .

Yes and he drove it here like that from the Valkenburg region...
It's a nice car it looks like hasn't run a lot of kms. Lots of orginal parts still there and in good condition. Almost no rust. Maybe it lived in an garage for most of it's life.
