Angle iron for the main part of the rig is ordered. The idea is it will be on castors. I bought the tool trolley, and it arrived damaged, Had choice to return, but I negotiated a partial refund. A block of wood, and a few smacks with a hammer and it's fine now. No further progress on the engine as life got in the way It's just a case of further cleaning, sort out some gaskets, and reasemble. Unfortunately, some more life is about to get in the way, but watch this space Edit Oh!, and I've ordered a surge tank from China, with a view to 2CVi.

I have a bell housing bolted on a frame. There you can hang the engine on and a starter motor.

Yes, good point, and I did think of that. But thought this may give a longer/wider wheelbase. Probably over thinking it a bit

Friend of mine makes these engine yokes for VW/Porsche engines......Slots into a standard Machine Mart stand. Allows the engine to be rotated and the casing split !
He also does a version with a starter motor mount.....

Some diagonal braces would be safe i think. The 2cv engine is normally build on it's side, bolted on to an holder. The did the same in the factory.
