Re: What did you do with your A Series today?
With the dreaded MOT fast approaching and very much expecting a big fail, yesterday I took the 2CV out for its longest drive this year. I headed down the M5, M50, and A40 to Monmouth. At Monmouth, I turned off the A40 and headed down the Wye Valley, through Tintern with its famous abbey, and ended up in Chepstow for lunch. From there I crossed the original Severn Bridge (M48) and immediately exited at j1 (Aust) and hit the B4461 to Alveston. From there I joined the A38 north to just east of Frampton-on-Severn and onto the M5 at j13 and back home to Worcester. A total distance of 130 miles (210kms).

wow, it sounds so familiar, but I have to look it up on google maps to remember it all again . It´s been more than 45 years I was there . Lived in Hagley then and went for a day out to so many places in that and other regions . Worked for Blakedown Landscapes then. I loved the days out in my Morris MK III, if i did not strand up somewhere with some car failure . The regional AA people knew me after some time and we had a lot of teas a laughs . Sadly it never comes back again.

Had to take a trip down to the New Forest. Only about an hour and a half from me. Glorious sunshine, roof down, car purred like a kitten. Happy car day.

Stuck stickers on my rusty bits! They're neautralised as well as possible with good Bilt Hamber stuff. And covered with POR15. The ledge in particular, had a split because of rust and water was flowing into the boot a little over winter. duct tape over that bit, followed by lots of stickers! I really like the look actually, I think I'll do some more. I sprayed a bit of lacquer over them to kind of blend them together and make them last longer. I wish I had the money to get new metal welded in, but alas no. Attachment:

Another nice day pottering. Stuck a lot more stickers on! Fixed a bad earth on a rear light making it so odd things after I refitted them. Drove around looking for petrol but there was none. Lol, thank goodness for my reserve jerry can. I'm off to Devon in the car tomorrow.
