I've to do some wiring yet. The wires on the LEDs are ok, but a bit thin to work with.

Hey, thanks Pete. I've come to the conclusion, that I like the new lights, and I like the old switches. But I don't really like them together. LEDs in switches could look nice, and it did occur to me, but thought it would be fiddly.

The switches are a bit fiddly, but the lamps are easy. Use a Red one with a coloured led(pre-wired 12volt from Ebay) Blue or Green is shows red when off but correct colour when on, hence the Recycle bit

I think what attracts me most to the original lamps, is the spade connectors.  I think I will attempt it.

You can try to find earlier original lamps from the 70s they had chrome bevels.

I think first, I may get a roll of black filament and print a black dash, as the grey may not fit to well with the switches.
