We went to my local reservoir (Sutton Bingham)for a picnic yesterday. South West water have a nice picnic area at one end. The sun, believe it or not, actually shone for a while and I took some pictures of my AZU,now christened Doop...lovely afternoon in nice surroundings.. ......Tony

 Re: My AZU
Great AZU! It is a 1964 AZU btw. 1962 AZU had rippled side panels & no side windows. 1964 is the last year with suicidedoors and the first year they made the 2 dents in the cabin roof. Maybe visit the 2cv van meeting this year with it. www.besteleendmeeting.tk

 Re: My AZU
Thanks for the info, I am a complete novice when it comes to the vans, so it is good to find someone who knows these things. I do have a letter from Citroen stating that she is a 62 but I guess you can take that with a bucket of salt. According to them it was built in the back end of that year. I must admit that one or two little things had me wondering if she might not be a bit younger. The chassis number is AZU1163993 does that tally with a 64??Also can you tell me if and when they upped the engine from the 425cc that is in her, and did it go up to 435 or 602cc.Sorry for all the questions, but I would realy like to know exactly how old she is, and any/all information welcome.....Cheers..........Tony

"Little" vans never had 602s. The change from 425 to 435 happened in 1972, according to... http://www.cats-citroen.net/citroen_2cv ... nette.html
