Yeah Geo is a free thinker like that, he will develop his own fuel injection system from scratch so that he can run 2cv carbs on a bmw engine which already has it's own fuel injection system :ugeek:
Why!? Do i hear you ask... Well as we say in Aus... "For the same reason a dog licks it's dick..."
8-)

I see your exhaust is running at the upper side of the engine - close near your carburettors - could the heat be a problem when the engine is on full load ?? or iddling afterwards ?

I need the heat of the exhaust. Take a look at your own car. Exhaust heat is feeded to the carb to prevent it from freezing. So I welded two bridges from the exhaust pipe to the inletmanifold... Just with fast iddling the carbs started to feel very very cold without it.....
With injection you have that effect less but still there petrol drops settling at the wall of the inlet manifold (the wet wall efect, disturbing the injectiontiming when jt happens and when in ends).

Hi LPGO, off course you are right that vaporating gasoline in a carburettor of a running engine extracts heat from its surrounding and therefor requires a source of heat (for 2cv : the extra tube from exhaust to inlet manifold) - so in riding condition this is oke. Reason for my question was : starting a hot engine after a short stop - is there a possible risk for vapour-lock ?? Even with an excellent spark from your ignition .....

Didn't make it to the appointment, so canseled it.... My stepson's Saxo needed about 3 square feet of sheetmetal to get a new APK, so no time to work at my car....

New appointment is the 16. of november.....

Biggest problem at the moment is........ I have no decent oilpressure in the BMW engine.. Connected the oilpressure switch to the Original 2cv light and it is going on and off all the time..... Bought already a newoilpressure switch wirh no better result........

Sure you don't have a short cut in your wiring?? otherwise it could be very bad news, because the 2cvs witch goes on around 1 bar, which happens with really hot oil on idle or when it is too late...
Also (I suppose I should ask you) but sure you have enough oil in the engine? Once my dad complained about the light coming on and it appeared he had an almost empty sump :|
