 Re: AZL 1957
Ran the 57 without fuel today.... I did check the dipstick this morning. It showed 2 litres but on the way downhill coming out of the tunnel the engine stopped. Nose down the petrol runs forward away from the fuelline. I could push it just on the bicycle path and phoned home to bring the jerrycan ....

I love your car. Might be one of my favourite ever 2cv.
Where is the fuel dipstick? Sounds funny.

 Re: AZL 1957
Only one minor leak at a ventflap screw so not to bad, also repaired some holes in the exhaust this weekend. After vacuuming the rubber mat can go back in the front.

 Re: AZL 1957
My horn was a bit low in volume. Cyclist didn't even look. So i thought there is adjustement screw on the thing so i turn the volume up a bit. First turn it was even less volume. So a turn i the other direction and than there was silence nothing any more. I went in my stock to search an other. Put it in and the horn was very loud now. I opend the other one to see wat was wrong. The contact in there was a bit oxydised so not a big problem. But then i took de diaphragm out and to my surprise someone had filled the space under that almost completely with a kind of wax. The plate had almost no space to vibrate, and the was a finger thick hole left open in the middle for the sound. No wonder it was so silent.

 Re: AZL 1957
Thanks, they did fill the horn part with wax like the red in the picture. The question is how to get it out again. The bottom part is made of plastic so heating it is out of the question...we will see.
