 Re: "Raid tyres"
Yep we have been using this vredestein tyers for 20 years including Africa and Australia , very good choice all the French raiders use them, they represent the best price solution and are very rugged

 Re: "Raid tyres"
ive never driven on Vedesteins but they seem sturdy enough - its the sidewall that gives trouble and Mich are just too soft and vulnerable - we used Firestone as they had a good heavy sidewall but the "Coker" built Mexican ones that are available now are crap.
Not one puncture from rock driving over the Atlass mountains.

I guess the side walls on a 155-tyre might benefit from the narrow 2CV-rim, when it comes to damages from rocks. But ideally it should have been 145 I think. The Vredestein Snow+ is actually called "Snow Classic" now, as Vredestein seems to have a go at the classic cars customers. The Snow Classic has rubber for winter, and a tyre that looks identical has the name "Classic Grip". With summer rubber compound. That would have been best, but unfortunately, it doesn't come in the right sizes. http://classic.vredestein.com/tyres?Lang=en-US

Mark 4x4 Lewis knows all about them... Yes Vresesteins are great. My spiked set have done 3 Arctic trips with no issues and when not playing in the snow the standard ones are excellent. Gearing has not been an issue. If you are worried about it fit a 1-2-Spark as it gives extra torque/power or a Barbour 2 into 1 exhaust...

 Re: "Raid tyres"
Vredesteins have my recommendation. 16000 miles in Oz and a summer in the Sahara desert have proved to me how good they are. Only puncture I've had was on tarmac with a stray nail... tyre pressures play are part though
