I am also working with a drill and a very old lathe ( emco 8) etc. The goal is to build it very low budget, The only expensive thing about this project is the beer. p.s. I've built in another thing.... the stroke of the rear-levers is about 1mm more then the stroke of the front-levers, just to overcome some play do to the longer distance to the rear gearbox, at my(our car) it is badly needed.....

Re: Gobi project Great videos Henk - I see the lawn mover lever lifts the rear shift rods to engage, does it use rocking levers, to reverse the direction of the movement, opereated by the front shift rods or what?
