New exhaust, made from stuff I found in the skip at work...

Image

They are curved but you can't really tell in these pictures...

Image

My clamps as they arrived from ECAS, with a little message, maybe somebody was hungry at ECAS yesterday?

Image

Engine plumbed in, brakes adjusted and bled, exhaust mostly fitted, only fuel pipes and a few other bits to buy and its not far off starting...

I'm not sure if this will work, but i modified an old crossbox so it's low-car proof!

More later this week.

I think Russ just volunteered to build the exhaust for the Mehari, too.

I just want to say how jealous I am of folks with a garage that has light and power, and not a shitty overpriced lock up 1/2 a mile away like me. Russ, that all looks fine fine work.

J's gonna need a rear seat belt anchor welded in for mot in June this year. Anyone fancy a job for beer?

The Nissen hut that's now got a bit less light?

If it helps Rumble, I've got two lockups like that, not quite so far from home, but far enough to be useless...

Well, i'd just like to say:

BOLLOCKS.

Got it running, about to whip up the road for a quick test run, make sure the new clutch and brakes are all good, and it's got an oil leak. from the oil feed pipe I fitted to replace the broken one. it appears to have a hole halfway up the o/s pipe where it enters the cowlings, under the rubber sheath.

Also, I just noticed the oil cooler is leaking too. FLAPS.
