You have pilotes 125*400 I guess, they are advised at the soft side, 1.2 bar in front 1.6 bar at the back... But I would advise you 1.6 and 2.0* for long journeys....

Cheers for that - I just tried to get the front wheels balanced at the local Norauto. Their machine did not have any adapters to fit my wheels on. Pain

All ready for the road trip on Sunday

I wouldn't worry too much about that, Ian. Hardly anywhere over here can balance 2cv wheels, either. I can't recall ever having any done, even on my "fast" 602ers! It's never been a problem.

I was getting a little judder from the front at high speeds (60kph) so wondered if it was the wheel balancing.

Maybe it is just old :)

Trypynees I've got exactly the same at my '51 2cv...

At 60 it never can be unbalance (never say never)...

But..

Check your drive shafts going to the wheels the universal joins need to be at exactly the same position wheel-side to gearbox-side otherwise there will be a wobble in your driveshaft which will be your unbalance..

Hope you know what I mean otherwise Ill make a drawwing...

There can be a wobble in the wheel (just like your bikes) which can do the same... So put a wheel from your back to your front.....

Your wheelbearing is down, or missing parts of it. I missed some balls in my bearing of my 51 car...

Your stub axle???? has to much play

your suspencion arm has to much play

your batteur is out of oil or rusted

Your frotteur is worn

or a combinition of 2 or more above...

good luck

Thought I would remove dim-dip relays as per Kens instructions and damn near burnt the feckin thing out due to not looking at the wiring colours correctly! No drama in the end as spotted the feed wire smoking and turned off pdq - good job the feed wire does feck all once the relay is removed and bypassed......note to self...put glasses on first and reread wiring colours before trying to bypass circuit!
