I was flicking through the MCC catalogue last night and noticed that they sell 2 types of steering arm - one for Acad and one for everything else. All the other suppliers I checked just sell one type.
What gives?

Re: Cassis steering arms
That would be old stock. I think that the Acadiane steering arm joint is no longer in stock. What do you need?
Judging from the wear in the rest of my steering system, I would guess the ball joints are as in need of replacement as anything else, but i won't know for sure until i get them apart and have a look.
What are the differences between the two types of arm? I assume they are interchangeable if nobody is stocking specific Acad ones?

Re: Cassis steering arms
Acadyane has longer wheelbase, so the steering angle between the two front-wheels are different to a normal 2cv, when cornering, thats why they are different... Think at the noise what your wheels make in a parkinghouse when cornering. With normal steeringarms on a Aca it would be very loud......
Hope you understand....

I thought the acadiane's extra length was in the end legs of the chassis, not the middle? You learn something new every day!
Longer wheelbase needing different components makes sense i guess. Does having different arms give it the same turning circle as a 2cv, then?
Not understanding what you mean about volume level though...

Listen to this (and I mean not the drifting but the sound) a good lined up car makes almost no sound a bad lined up steering makes lots of squitching!!!

Thanks, guys - that does clear it up for me in terms of how it all works, but back to the original question:
Since nobody seems to stock Acadiane steering arms any more, can 2cv ones physically be put in their place, despite being not correct (better than leaving the worn ones on I assume)? OR can someone point me to a supplier that DOES have stock?
