Had to go and save the wife - the Dyane stopped working.

Funny fault, feels like it has run out or running out of fuel. But then comes good and works normal. Then a little way down the road it starts to splutter and conks out again. The ignition does not work straight away either to turn it back on, I have to wait a few seconds and then it starts perfectly again. Off down the road, slower revs and it does the same.

any ideas.... nothing to do with the electronic ignition.... :?: :?: :?:

So many things on this car but hoping it is a simple fix. :?

My 2CV has just run out of MOT but will be doing this after I get back from hols.

Last night was the BrumBlackCountry local meet. I went along with my friend in his Dyane

We had

eighteen people, plus two interested folk (ex-2CVers) who stopped for a chat but didn't join us at the table
• ten A series, including two Dyanes and an Acadiane
• three sets of yellow lamps
• two left-hookers

8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

Tried out the little 4L towing the AZU. Tugs a little but driving steady on the flat seems good. Going to the Nogaro Festival at the beginning of October so wanted to make sure it would all work OK. :D

Been driving Dasher around the cardigan coast over the last week - pics to follow when I get back to my PC - roof off everywhere - the weather this last week has been awesome - mid 20's and barely a cloud in the sky all day.....

Sorry Therry, but this is a very special car with special engine. Theres a turbo inside and my programmamable ignition, tuned to do the job proper; so something in my little brain said, no one on this entire forum (besides trypinees and maybee Lars), has benefits to the things I pm-med, it could only bring confusion to you non turbo guys... sorry..

But... If you really feel the need and ask me; I will pm exactly the same text to you (or anyone else no problem)......

Great run back home from near Newquay, West Wales to Stone via the most amazing mountain road from Tregaron to Builth Wells - very narrow and 1 in 4 in a couple of places - the car managed it admirably, albeit in first a couple of times, and smelt very hot by the time we crested the rises, to be then greeted with the smell of hot brakes down the other side.....

Next time try Strata Florida, the old drovers road, Abergwesin to Tregaron. If it's been dry easy in a 2cv, but go with another car just in case!
