 Re: 1979 Jaune Mimosa 2CV
Hopefully. She wants me to go camping near Eastbourne or something, I want to stay at home and build my duckhouse. The way tensions are at the moment Itll probably kick off, I'll be unwelcome in the house and spend the weekend at work doing the 2cv.

Body off tonight.
Couple of pics of what that badger did to the chassis crossmember.

 Re: 1979 Jaune Mimosa 2CV
How hard is it to build a chassis? I can't afford to buy one and I've never liked the (now damaged) chassis on it.
Looks like I've got to do family stuff at the weekend, which I'm less enthusiastic about than I would be about getting stuck into this thing. I'm not sure how far to go with the bodywork. It needs a patch on both floors for MOT but ideally I'd like to do:
Both floors Both sills Full lower bulkhead Rear seatbelt mounts Bonnet hinge Both front wings C pillar A panels Rear sweeps Chassis Spring cans Dampers Seats Windscreen Other broken bits.
Depends what a can afford.

Everything else you can do with it on the road.

I don't want to keep using it like a wreckage, I'd like to finish it, get it right and then use it, not patch it up and keep on driving a sack of crap.
