Used my lunch hour to prime a wing to up my chances of winning Registers Day ModCon section.

However the bugs do seem to like the primer so the yellow final coat may be a but lumpy!!

Yes it passed. I did post about 5 posts back that it passed.

2nd coat of primer today. I'll have to paint it in the Transit tho as its raining today and I don't want to spoil the award winning paint job!

Just arrived in Lerwick for the day, 2CV driving very well with the northerly wind behind it, but got the drive back north later against this wind! Grill muff back on. Lol

Changed the clutch, changed the oil and filter, and replaced some dodgy fuel pipe.

Drove it for last time before re-taxing it on the 15th - may leave it to then end of the month to avoid paying for 15 days I won't get back.

Came off ferry in Newhaven @ 10pm last night after 5 days in France. Got as far as Lewis by which time all 6 little volts had drained out of an unseen hole in the complicated electronic jungle of a mid 60s Deuche. The dimmness of the illumination as we tried to find somewhere safe to pull up attracted a young off duty plod who called all his mates. He had seen us driving round Lewis with 'unroadworthy' lights on Saturday night too, apparently. They all went away after looking @ the ferry booking.
Then the RAC sent a very nice man called Paul from Westbourne Motors to fix us. Oddly he didn't have any 6v bits on his van so he unfolded a sort of trailer thing out of the back of the van and towed us home. Thanks Paul you are a star :!: :!:
Woke all the neighbours @ 1.30am this morning but we didn't care
Trying to find the volt hole in the system now...

Fitted wing in rediness for Registers Day ModCon win.

Brush marks visible... check
Dents... check
Paint runs... check

Pretty much the same as all the other panels then...
