 Re Blacking Steering Wheel
I bought a decent looking steering wheel this weekend but it has faded a lot.
Is there a product to get it back to shiny new - anybody have any ideas.

 Re: Re Blacking Steering Wheel
There are various auto motive back to black products, having used them on my bike plastics they work well, though I guess they may contain silicons, which would not be a good idea on your steering wheel:-)

I don't know It is a standard 2CV black plastic steering wheel, actually a Dyane standard steering wheel.

 Re: Re Blacking Steering Wheel
peanut butter
no shit!
( OK i havnt actually tried that one on faded plastic but it comes up on VW and Citren (modern-ish) forums regularly - the Dispatch gets the plastic bits wiped over with WD40 when they start to look a bit faded - its the loss of the plasticizers in the plastic that causess the fading filling it back up with oily stuff restores the black )

 Re: Re Blacking Steering Wheel
I saw the Peanut butter trick but then in the small print it said, do not use on your steering wheel.
