Saturday ......a 70mile round trip to one our favourite pubs [in Lincolnshire] for lunch,and then back via the "scenic" route.....dropped wifey off and then did a 50mile round trip to watch one of my favourite [pub rock] bands perform in a little pub near Castleton [Derbyshire] .....stayed the night in Derbyshire and got home this morning [Sunday] .....all in,120miles of "open roofed" driving ....I used 12.5 litres of petrol,which works out at about 44mpg [and no,I dont wanna argue about the odd decimal point ...  ] T.

Re: What did you do with your A Series today? Yesterday Sam Fieldhouse visited to pick up his engines (that I'd collected on his behalf from Walsall) and had been stored in the back of Hugo at the home of Mark350. I organised a pub get together of local 2CVers

Re: What did you do with your A Series today? Drove the 80 odd miles down to Sumburgh Head to look for penguins (sister told me a work colleague of her's asked if there were penguins in Shetland!!! Lol). Close, but they're puffins. Heading home soon.

I thought penguins only lived in the Southern Hemisphere   ......and Herma Ness had 100's of Puffins when I visited the Shetlands.....[ps,watch for those "bonxy bird" things .....they're evil this time of the year ] best regards T.

Re: What did you do with your A Series today? discovered that a £1 can of "Dr Magick" oven cleaner form the bargain bin at ASDA brings up a shitty old Landrover carb as well as if it had been soda blasted
