Been polishing the car this morning, hoping to get it booked into the Shetland Classic Motor Show over the w/e of 5 June. Just popped to the shop and a chap sat outside informed me that they originally had wooden chassises. I just had to correct him.

To say these were awkward to slide in, particularly the front edge one, would be an understatement of monumental enormity!

Hope to have the seat in the car this week. :D

Changed the kingpin on the new arm (has a good bearing in) ready to re assemble!

...and here it is. Took a bit of lateral thinking to fit solo due to the seatbelt buckles getting in the way of sliding the seat into place from the rear and I was reluctant to undo them from the chassis but I managed to slide it in from the front and rather than fight with three runners, chose to fit the central locking runner after the seat was in place by sliding it onto the flanges afterwards (with the aid of a soft mallet!). Made up a spacer for the front bolt as there was a small gap to be filled and went to local club meeting last night.

The seating position seems to be less upright than the individual seats but on the whole I'm chuffed to bits with it!

Great roofless trip down, and back, to Rugby and Coventry to visit clients today - got a great compliment from one, saying that I was the coolest sales guy that they deal with as I turn up in a 2CV - well chuffed!

What a great day. Took my 4 year old son fishing. First for him and first for about 20 years. Roof off all the way there and back. All these French guys were there with all the camouflage gear on. Us - me in red T shirt and my boy with red hat - French zero - my boy 3...... :D :D Even caught a small flat fish - normally in the sea but we at least 5kms from the bay.....
Also spoke to a guy in the coffee shop on the way home who had a Lomax 3 wheeler. When I asked him about Control Techique M.O.T. he said no problem it does not have to have one as its a TRIKE.......
