 Low oil pressure
Hi - quick question
What's the cause of a 2cv oil pressure light flickering/staying on at idle? Engine has oil in it and otherwise is reasonably ok. The light goes off as the revs rise.
Thanks Will

 Re: Low oil pressure
Thanks for the replies - it'll either be a £7 easy fix or an engine rebuild then.....

 Re: Low oil pressure
Good point - it is a 2cv I have just purchased so although the engine is well topped up with oil who knows what type it is! I'll replace the pressure switch and change the oil for some 20/50 or 15/40 and see what happens.

 Re: Low oil pressure
Halfords sell a 15w/40 mineral engine oil, which I use. Works just fine. Perhaps give that a go?
