I'm with you here, I think if folk are going to go to the effort of covering it up, move the wiper motor and other dashboard bits and fit a dyane screen maybe?

Hmm.

Compare the effort of doing all that lot with the effort involved in pop-rivetting a sheet of ally over the flap then slapping some pudding on and a quick blowover with a rattlecan.

nahh i think 2cv's need a vent flap! theres always some warm coming in from the heater pipes.... even when its on full cold.... and i like to have some cool air while im driving, and not just gusts through the window ;) instead of filling it all in and in some cases.... ontop of a rotting ventflap.... ok just my case... why do that? when you can find perfectly good vent flaps around!

Easily sorted by adjusting the heater cables and almost certainly replacing the foam on the flaps in the exchangers...

Or stuff two tennis balls into the heater tubes just as they enter the bulk head. No heat at all then for the summer. Take them out in the winter, et voila, all warm again
