That must have one of the most dodgy mot's around as it doesn't appear to have any operating wipers...amongst other things

Opening windscreen? If I understand the MOT rules correctly, you don't need wipers with this setup, although a full set of waterproofs would probably be advisable for the driver plus any folk foolhardy enough to be passengers. I do like the look of it (from the outside) but the work carried out is very poor.... just look at the engine bay that say's it all to me.
