 Re: mig wire "gas free?
an over priced item by some online retailer does not make a relevant argument, even if it has "professional" in the title. usually they are classed as Dual Purpose meaning they can if they have to. Also note that there are a few flux cored wires for welding exotic steels they are not the same as the spattery smokey "gas free" wire for hobby use. try having a shufti at some of the excellent advice on http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/( 'tho the "gassless is shite!" debate goes on and on there too )

 Re: mig wire "gas free?
Not to fan the flame
Ive never used gasless and dont feel i need to try
I have a bottle, i have an anciant mig welder teamed together they produce fine results considering my lack of welding knowledge
Ive done quite a bit of neat successfull welding now, i dont feel i need to try gasless, but only thing id say is welding outside can be a pain but just use more gas
As anyone even as dumb as a bucket of rocks will quickly realise is that a halfords small bottle is as useful as an empty glass of water in the desert
