Post "small world" experiences.
Thought id start a thread for people to share their wierd small world senario's

For example,
the other day we had sold 2 boats to some austrians.
when they came to collect the boats, i happened to use the 2cv that day.
the father of the austrian buying the boats upon getting out there van shouted "douche"

turned out he ownes a traction from '57 and its his almost every day car!!

another one

A few years ago i had won a job lot of 2cv junk on ebay in chichester

i rocked up to collect, and john the vender looked at my car and said "i used to own E132LRV" which is only different in that mine is E142LRV!

Wierd...

Whilst on our travels in the Charente region and having parked up in a pretty village,on group of elderly French ladies and gents, came over to admire the 2cv. They called it' La belle voiture' upon talking with the one lady, she asked if we were on holiday and on finding that we live half the year in a village called
Manot, she told us that she was born there and had lived much of her life in Manot, having moved away some years ago..

on return leg from Spain we camped in an out of the way site, Montreul sur Mer found an empty pitch and went out for the day came back to find we had pitched up to great bloke in his original AMI had a good old natter that night about the stuff Citroen owners tend to be bores about....you know Tyres, Chassis, Ignition - trips and mutual friends. Tried to get me into some new fangled 12spark one of his fellow club member friend has started making

Now this gives me goosebumps all over.... Last saturday I fitted a 1-2-Spark to a nearly finished Ami from a fellow club member who is a great bloke.... He was mentioning he had talked to a chap in a red 2cv on a french campsite talking about same stuff as you mentioined.... and 1-2-Spark..

But I didn't now it was you I thought it was Mark Lewis but I couldn't bring the red 2cv home, so now I can......
