Some pics of front chassis and video
Have clearance for the tie rods etc, made larger mounts for spring cans also added a top rail to the chassis with triangulation.
On full droop steering just clears top of arms and the steering column, but this after numerous changes.

Thanks - that is one hell of a chassis - can see now that you have 4 individual spring cans - pretty bloody clever :) :) ;)

Eh peter

i love looking at your 4x4

such pleasure!!

Re Front arms

Its like this i spent 2 years working out rear arms etc
that was about 10 years back

Front arms i started to look into with Bart

But to get it good i was looking at a minimum of about 3 months solid work just to get a good prototype

Now that project is on the back burner!! as not enough time !
But best of luck
one bit of advice
You will find that the whole end moves during welding

on a 4x4 rear arm this can be up to 2 mm
so you may like to try test arms and check after!!

basically think of a way of welding allowing the movement to be corrected

What i do is weld the arms out of true!! then when the weld cools it pulls back to straight !!!!!!!

same system is used on my chassis

MOROVAN next year???

Castor Angle Solution?

Have made a 10mm plate which moves the base of the hub forward.

Shouldn't your pic look like this / insted of this \ ??

Take a look at your standard 2cv and copy it....
and watch out when the springs compress your Castors changes is worse direction with your arms pointing to the back. Arms pointing to the front get stronger selfcentering when spring compresses. Your arms get worse selfcentering when springs compress......

I mean with springs compress that your ground clearence gets smaller.....

Hope you understand what I'm trying to say, (ps don;t know what I'm saying just a feeling)
please check for yourself so that you not got surprised when driving 60 on the road...

60? that will be "kph" then, if I have following wind
Trying to give it more castor, (than standard) at a normal ride height, just to avoid the situation you have described.
