doors off yet again, and all the patina´d panels in the paint room for matt varnish, than I think the wings and bonnet in gloss as the curves reflect well.

finally got the rear drum off also (managed with a cut down 46mm ! as 44mm does not exist in spain !), bits are ordered, on the final straight for the ITV

By the way
you can use an 1 3/4 AF instead of 44mm for the rear drums. ;)

yep we looked at imperial aswell, but the bloke didnt know how to calculate it ! me either! thanks mate. the 12 sided head I borrowed span on the nut but the 6 sided one I bought gripped a bit better ( and a third of the price that the 2cv people wanted!)

the paint arrived...totally the wrong colours :? that´ll teach me to try and save cash by ordering from an online ral colour range!, the pale blue which was supposed to be like the roof is far too blue, and the beige is like the roof colour!, so change of plan. I can´t use the blue, but the other one works quite well and gives a nice fresh minty feel, and starts to get rid of the rat rod vibe! :P

also the matt varnish has yellowed the panels quite a lot, so it clashes with the new green a lot..I´m hoping that it´ll have the same effect when its painted over the green so blending everything.

all exciting stuff, also thinking about taking a stripe through at bonnet level through to the back end in the green

today the door stripe (not sure how to end it on the rear panel?....to a horizontal point ot take it down around the rear wing?? any ideas)
also rear panel under the boot all sorted out and other original colour panels patina´d a bit to contrast with the green
starting to feel like a plan! :D

Follow the line of the wing for the lower boundary.
Follow the swage line under the window for the upper boundary...

but fade the paint out once the swage runs out? It's a subtle enough colour combo, and with the generally faded air of the look, I reckon it might work quite nicely.

nice work with the decals and the colouring - and I agree with Adrian about the fading out along the swage lines 8-)
