Post How to fit the rear parcel hammock (shelf)
I bought a rear parcel hammock and brackets at the National but am a bit confused as how the brackets fit. The only logical way is to remove the bolt holding the canvas hood down and fit the bracket and then fit an extra nut and bolt in the other hole which lines up with the other bracket attached to the hood frame BUT this points the bracket recess directly towards the rear seat, is that right or have I completely missed something?

Cheers
Colin

Screw the curved rod in to the rear seat back
and hook the straight one on the rear window frame. :|

Yep that's how the brackets fit as pointed out already the curved bar screws to the back of the seat, then the straight one( tubular with rubber sleeves on the ends) clip into the brackets. Simples :D

Come to think of it,
my parcel hammock doesn't quite cover the ends of the trunk near the third windows.

Any suggestions?

The rear seat frame will probably have holes pre-drilled in the correct places- at least mine does.

I'm not sure what year's car the rear window came from on mine as it's a Matt's replacement, but it has the hooks to take the hammock bar built in.

Notice the hook beneath the rear window
and the one also on the third window.
I think it's from an official ad.
