Post Bits of the kingpin kit
Is the massive drift with the tapered bit on one end for removing the drive flange? It's perfect for it but is that coincedence or is that it's purpose? I assumed it was for the welch plug. If that's what it's for why does it come with a kingpin kit?

Yeah my bad, there's not one in my kingpin drift set so I guess it must have been a tool specifically for that.

Yeah it doesn't make sense because the bit I thought was part of the kingpin drift set we were using at Simons looks like it wasn't part of the kingpin set after all, and seeing how well it fitted the drive flange and how easily it drifted it out of the bearings it was probably the tool for that and the fact it was in with the kingpin drift set little more than a red herring. There, that all makes sense now, doesn't it?

possibly as it would have been filed in the "tools that you hit with the BFOH " department.
