That's it. I love the way those Ami headlights have been fitted in the wings. Very tastefully done.

Believe me. Is not April Fool's day in Argentina (well, hearing our politics it seems all year long is a Fool's Day).
The reason given to justify using the same engine is lower costs.

That's interesting, surely it will raise costs? I'm not sure it will make the racing any more exciting, watching the videos on Youtube of the incar footage of 3cvs, they're awesome as they were1

I wonder how much it'd cost to get one of the old flat twin cars sentover here? They'd make a good base for a fast road car!

Post Re: Alternative Engines
why does it have to be another engine, I turbocharged my 602 engine with a smart turbo and intercooler and a Megasquirt free programmable ECU. I'm driving it now for a month and its really big fun, you can drive it like a normal 2cv but only 10% of throttle, so when you put the pedal to the metal it really pushes you into the seat, next thing I want to do is put it on a rolling road, but I think it has about 60bhp so not bad for an old and worn 602.....

Or when you insist to another engine why not an complet Smart engine!!!!!!

... the max.continuous output is 26 HP @6000 rpm ... not really an improvement to the standard 2cv motor ....
