Post 6 Volt Regulator
My regulator is playing up a bit, I sometimes have to trick it into operation by pushing the contact on the electro magnet. I am thinking it may be the charge in my battery not enough to close the contacts so I will see when I get it on the road.

But can my Ducelier 1283B be exchanged with a Ducleier 8304A. They look very similar but not sure if you can swap and change.

Give it a try. But keep running a meter across the battery as a test, if the charge is too much stop. If not you've solved your problem.

Problem is I need to buy the other one first at €50.

Wanted to know before I send the cheque - it might be a try after you buy thing I suppose.

Ah! Yes....No spares? No one near by to lend one. 50 euros...But you always need a spare.
6 volts can't damage a 12v regulator..

The new one would be 6 Volts too.

I might just take the risk - they are supposed to match up with the Dynamo I thought, hence the question.

hmmmm, that could be something. I bought it like this BUT I am not sure it left the his barn since they did it. And I am certain it has not worked correctly since I bought it as I have never seen the ammeter move so thought it was the norm for it just to sit there in the middle.

I bought that regulator, awaiting the new battery and if no luck I will make up some heavier leads.

thanks for this :D :D
