Watch the motors TV coverage of the 2cv racing on YouTube. It's better than F1. Also, I've been decorating all day and watching paint dry is more exhilarating than F1.

I know. I watch it out of habit now because I've watched it since I saw Mansell win at Silverstone in 1987. But fuck me, it's boring now. The races might as well be decided by the pit crews playing chess.
Las weekend I went to Donington Park for the historic racing. Much more fun to watch. I think I'll be getting my motorsport fix at more and more live events in future, as I can afford them. Especially now that MotoGP is not going to be on normal telly from next year. Bastards:(

... sorry. Bit of a rant.

Stopped watching now. At lap 29 I suddenly realised the dog's anal boils needed lancing, so I switched the F1 off and went and did that instead. Cheered me up no end.

Factor in your time (say £100 a day) plus petrol, wear and tear on your vehicle etc (45p per mile, easily) and you may as well go and buy from a local dealer. 350 mile round trip + your time = over £250! If you do that 3 times before you buy a vehicle you will be a grand down by the time you've found the one you want.

Buy from a local garage - at least that way you get some warranty and it isn't too far to go if you need to take the thing back and moan at the seller.
