Post Re: 1-2-spark
Today over a nice coffee did some calculations on the difference between version 1 version 2.

In the 2000 kms on version 2, I have averaged an extra 1.6kms per litre. This may not sound a lot but over 1 tank and neck that is an extra 38 kms. With the price of 95 ron at 1.53 euros per litre it will take me around another 3000kms for version 2 to pay for itself..
After that win win.............

@ Subaru-Pete today Mark 4x4 superfin collected his 1-2-spark Mark II, he will take the old one with him and will install and tune it with you at your car, details will follow..

We needed almost 2 hours to tune the MarkII, but where both happy with the result...

@ Jameswallace, you are next in line, I will finish your unit in a few days then I will try it in my car and then will pm. you the details... If you pm. me your regular email adress I will send you the software to try if it runs on your computer, (Saurus had some issues with the software)....

@ ChrisW.. I guess with a normal 1-2-Spark it will pay back in about 5000km...
But good to here that it improves fueleconomie even on a turbo-car....

Today I've made a mounting instruction for the unit (only in Dutch at the moment), I tried to zip it but it is still to big to place here..
If anyone is interested Pm. me your email adress and I will send it to you...

I've integrated multispark at 1-2-spark, I only need to programm the PC-software..

2. call for Jameswallace; please pm. me your regular email adress, so I can send you the software (if it runs at your computer I can send you a unit)..

600 miles on new unit so far. Achieved 48.5mpg which for a 4x4 2CV with a rotating rear axle plus 155 tyre drag is pretty good.

Going off road tomorrow so will be interesting to see how unit performs...

I tested the 1-2-Software today, it runs fine on my laptop and was able to import an advance table and modify the numbers :)

Post Re: 1-2-spark
A week ago a unit went to a Dutch big bore driver, he discovered a problem in the software,
when the dwell takes longer then a revelution then there was no spark made.....

As soon as the spark occured (current shut off at the coil) the chip started to calculate when the dwell has to start for the next round. Because the the dwell needs more time then there is the chips turns on the current again. This all happens within 0.0000002 seconds so no spark could be devellopped. So yesterday evening I've programmed a spark duration....
When the dwell takes longer then 1 rpm minus sparkduration the red eror led comes on, so when a spark has to happen sparkduration comes in so at least a nice spark will be made, but at the down side dwell will get shorter and shorter......... but a again when your dwell time is right this will never happen on a 2cv.

Most V8 engines with a dstributor suffer at this desease.......athigher rpm dwell time is so short there isn't time enough to devollop and deliver a spark.

This evening I've made 8 sensor holders.....

So the ignition is now getting more grown up, It can do more then Megasquirt (multispark) and 123 (not adjustable by computer).........

This problem - only occurs on V8?? Never had a missed spark or misfire on 1-2 spark
