Not forgetting that this is an oversquare engine ( 56mm stroke), with a shorter crankshaft than Citroen's 602 and a desomodromic valve train.
With a naturally aspirated engine, there isn't much point in exceeding the point at which peak power is produced, unless you're hell bent on destroying it.
No need for a rolling road either, meltdown can be achieved in the comfort of your own driveway by revving the nuts off it in neutral with a video camera trained on the revcounter...
