Post my kingpin came out a bit
i replaced the pins,& bushes and the welch cap,--then it came out and disapeared
the pin worked its way upwards till it came into contact with the
outer drive-shaft edge this caused a steering "wobble"
eeeee, the wonders of 2cv-ing :D
ive fixed it now(probably)

Surely with the grade nipple fitted it can't move?

Ayjay if your king pin came out there's something really wrong. I'd suggest you change the arm as the eye at the end must be really worn to let a KP come loose and as it 'worked its way out' probably only enlarged the hole.

And JDub, the grease nipple doesn't do anything. There's nothing 'holding' the KP in - its designed as a tight fit between the arm and the hub so friction holds it in place. It shouldn't be touching the screw cover at the bottom or the welch plug at the top.

Post Re: my kingpin came out a bit
thanks guys ill check it properly , its strange why the k/p moved as it was a tight fit in the arm when i renewed it :?:
i did check the gap and use the correct shims taskos
but there is now a bit of play in the k/pin so i suspect the eye is worn
i,ll see if i can get an oversize k/p, altho the hole in the eye on the arm might be a bit oval?
