Post Strange headlight fault
I've got all the wiring rigged up but only the right hand headlight works... They have been fused into the original fuse box, I can get an ohms reading from the fuse to the right hand headlight but not the left, same as from the switch to the headlight.

*idea* perhaps both headlights have separate fuses, i'll go check...

Cheers

I would be tempted to put new wiring in with a new fuse box.

And you did ;)
I saw your thread and it looks so good! But I need to drive this car out of here 3days ago.

I have sorted the problem, separate fuses for each headlights, even though it had a fuses it was a bad connection...

Cheers!

yes each headlamp is seperatly fused , bad connections are common on the original connectors&fuse box
does your 2cv still have the "dim dip" system?

I have nfi what the dim dip system is although I have seen it written about in many posts.
When I get back from the raid I will rewire it all as all the wires at the light bar are cracking...

its a strange addition to the wiring harley, when u switch the sidelights on and turn on the ignition, the dipped headlights glow slightly as well
theres more info in the forum about it

Ayjay, dim dip was a UK thing till the euro manufacturers put an end to it.
