What is the solution? then all you can do is substitute the breather and see what its like with that? ( did you ever do a compression test and what were the results? - in numbers rather than "good") EDIT - page 1 140 and 150 psi

I drove 4 up with luggage to San Sebastain in Spain at around 110kph all the way and the oil was reading 95-100 deg C (outside tekp 26 deg C) 700kms - only stops for petrol and food. My ECAS filler still looks like new inside and out. To melt the paint from the inside the oil must be getting very hot......
