I think that an important factor is overlooked. Engines with worn (out) barrels and piston rings allow compression to pass down to the crank case. Even new original Citroën breather will struggle to produce the vacuum needed. Tested a new UK valve just fitted on a raid 2cv not long ago. The result was interesting only showing 2 cm suction at high revs. Removed the valve and fitted the preproduction from South America and guess what, 0 vaccuum.
I guess the focus on the breather should shift to a compression test before replacing it.

Well spoke to the firm and the whale valve is for water and not oil. They do not have anything similar to what we are looking for.
