My brother used that stuff in his house extension. It is expensive, but very flexible. The blurb says it has the equivalent insulation properties as 50mm traditional rockwool/fibreglass.

Glue is never going to be an issue, my son works for Bostik. Its a balance between finding something with the right insulation properties, flexible enough to fit all the curves but looks reasonable too.

As I am taking the body off this winter for some serious attention, I can do all of this with the body upside down which has got to help.

This with some foam over the top, maybe carry matts will give really good results.

Whilst that may well stop me disturbing the peace while playing Led Zep at full tilt, not sure it will keep 45C sunshine from cooking the occupants of the van though :D

I doesn't matter how much insulation you stick inside the van, it will still be warm. The trick is to get rid of the warm air letting air through. The blue van is from The Netherlands not made by me.
All sort of things has been tried down under (50 dg in the outback) Ventilation is your friend.

I have seen some Landrovers with an extra "double roof".
They use them in the desert

The Vent in the Grey Van is my AZU250, it works really well in the hot weather and keep the driver's cab cool. They are from an early Toyota Landcruiser if you can find one at a wrecking yard. Cut the whole panel out and cut and weld it in.
Cheers from OZ, Geoff
