Left the oil filler open on the Ami yesterday.. Found it out after 500m.. Topped up, cleaned a bit, drove to were I needed to be (Tour with the dutch Ami Club), enjoyed the oily smell on the way, and had a jolly good day afterall..

Too bad Alonso won the China GP earlier..

Will get the 2CV out this afternoon, drop round to see the 'rents, then head for The Tarrington for the Hereford 2CV pub night.

Hugo's having a slightly enforced day off today, after a week of constant use (and a wash!) We're having the road resurfaced and so access to the garage (around the corner) is blocked and I had to move Fred Focus anyway (parked at my friend's house ten minutes walk away)
Planning on taking him out at the weekend though - back into Leicestershire for a couple of local events :)

Are they doing the job properly, or is it guy in jeans & a hi-viz chucking tar from a bucket into the worst of the potholes using a garden trowel?

not quite a proper job: a new top-coat laid over the current surface. The road is very good actually, as it's only a residential street for about 200 houses, so no heavy use and not a rat-run to anywhere. I'm surprised that they're here really, as there are far worse roads around. We had the pavements done last year too

Lowered the front 75mm now that we aren't enduring snow any more.

Lifted the mats to find the floors are ruined, time to break out the filler I reckon.

It's looking well rough now actually. And I don't have the time or money to do much about it. Certainly not the full rebuild it needs, and has done for some time. Looks like next months mot is going to be a 1970s style lash up!

I was a Alonso fan back in the day when he raced for Renault.. For some (german) reason I'm not a huge fan of ferrari (and Mercedes).. Teamwise I prefer McLaren, but underdog teams like Lotus, Sauber have my support too..
As long as it ins't a ferrari or a mercedes I'm glad.
No problem with when Vettel wins, only when he's winning all races by a mile ahead as the in 2011 was the case.
