Will be dead smooth then Spot on James I should have mentioned the grades  If you want to get a really smooth uniform finish with no low spots and the like,if you give the area your doing a light spray over with a dark colour from an aerosol can,as you rub down any low spots will show up as the dark colour will remain.

Re: 1957 AZU - René II So I painted the front of the car.  Did it all in a day and it looks OK - I didn't bother doing all the filling etc as this was "purely" to cover up all the rusty primer the last guy put on (I did sand down to bare metal to get rid of the rust). I used 2 pack paint (as I had used a spray can of it and ran out so had to buy a 1kg tin of the same type). I am still alive but I can see why you need the mask etc (I did it outside so half the drive is the same colour as are the flies, wasps and dogs  ). Oh, and it is a different colour .... I know.... not a standard 2cv colour so it was hard to match at all. But it will all change in September when it goes back to the original colour.  BEFORE Attachment:

Re: 1957 AZU - René II That was the issue - I had no clue and don't think this was a citroen colour. So I just went to the paint man and we used a chart.... must have been bad light as it is distinctively WRONG
