Ayjay, wish you where here
I silicon'd my 123 before doing this, its the old black one, not given me any dramas in about ten years, fit and forget.
Ready LPGO's latest 1-2-spark post about ignition systems, its a goody.

Re: waterproof 123
Off-roading for many years now, water is the biggest enemy for our ignition system, be it from a puddle; condenced water, or oil comming from the engine. The whole system (mounting an ignition system at the front of the engine) is quit wrong... The ignition from a Visa is much better on that case, but there are other problems with that as we all know. But I have always driven with Visa ignition and never had major problems with it....... yes even through water doorhandle high!!! Then I made the turbo car with a Vr sensor and immidiatly saw the big advantige of it....... Mounted at the highest point of the engine and no mechanical parts, but way overkill for a 2cv... (Megasquirt ecu).. Thats why I started to do my own ignition..... I have taken all the advantiges of Megasquirt, Vellermann and others and made my own ignition especialy made for 2cv's !!!!!!! I never will drive with something else and I guess the people who are driving it also either....
