To channel or not to channel thats the question........
So here are the facts. My turbo car needs a new body... I've got a new worn body but it needs new sills, floors, bootbottom?, feetrest?? Looked for prices, this will set me back for about 200 euros (only Parts) I can make all the stuff myself but then from stainless also for 200 euros.... Made a drawing for channneling or original what do you think.... what more do I need to adjust with about 6cm channeling???? steering tube angle rising the pedals lowering the seets shortening the headlight bars rearlight panel adjustment ???? ???????? ?????????????

Hi LPGO, for 6 cm I don't think you have to change a lot, just need a cross coupling for your steering tube, pedals, dont think you have to change them (maybe shorten them ) of course the support of the front fenders, and headlight bar, but you'll discover that when you're working on it seems like a nice project, keep us informed! (PICS!!!! ) greetzzzzzzzzzzz Rusty

Channel it.! lpgo wrote: what more do I need to adjust with about 6cm channeling????

Rusty is correct on the steering rack coupling, use one from a GS. 60mm needs to be removed from the bottom edge of the front inner guards and the buldge for the engine heads should be raised 60mm. Pedals can remain untouched. Make a thread on Snails about it.! I think your floor/sills design is kickass! Harley

If you're typical of most Dutch guys so over 1.9m tall, maybe start practising now for getting in and out of the car after it's been channelled? A cabin trunk would be most suitable, although a very large suitcase might work... ken lpgo wrote: what more do I need to adjust with about 6cm channeling????
