I thought it was scripted by the guys that did the chuckle brothers same level of humour and "hilarious" prop based stunts- like spraying the car with a rag on the roof -oh his face was a picture when he realised.

purile shite from the titles to the end.

Can't believe I missed it sounded like a corker

Oh it was a Doosey of a Show, I wanted to walk away, I couldnt ...It really was that bad
Please never sell him a 2cv anybody

I started watching got angry and wound up what a bunch of c#*%s. why would you replace that webasto roof with metal. When on the other program when they did the E type the didn't fill the sunroof hole and fitted the worse looking one they could find. Will leave the rant there I could go on

Two weeks to turn a wreck into a resto? Its the usual mission Impossable shite, and then there was the compitition at the end YOU could win this car.
I think I would rather catch something unfortunate in my gentlemans area.

Looking on the bright side the VW lot did sort out one of Bernie and Leepus previous creations.
The Gangster Car was Bought , and money was given to charity for letting people hit it with Sledgehammers.
They had to provide safety Glasses in the end cos of the amount of plop sculpted onto the thing shattering like dinnerplates.
and Inch thick in places it was.
Then just to make sure it got run over with a monster truck in the end.

I watched it last night for the first time, what a joke.
The one thing that amazed me(thinking about it,the whole program did )was the way the guy took to taking the paint off with an angle grinder. The whole of the body had round deep gouges taken out of it.Surley the only way to get rid of those would be to use filler?
Nah,program is obviously made for people who havent a clue about cars    ,just like the people that are in the show,   .

For some reason the thing that riled me the most on that programme, even above all the staged gaffs and general awful bollocks, was the bit where it showed the American guy brush painting the brake calipers orange on that £21,000 (their value) Porsche 911, whilst still on the car, as if he was touching up a dado rail or something...

...not to mention the angry idiot "tuning" the engine by simply scraping the dizzy cap contacts...

Awful television. Total dumbing down, in tune with everything else these days.

Its a TV programme I could have tured over, but it made me angry.
Stupid really isnt it.
It just irks me that when we get something aimed at "us" ...as In Petrolheads. it turns into a slapstick disasterfest.
Sad to say I have written to Channel 5 with my displeasure,It seems I am very much not alone on this too
http://www.channel5.com/shows/classic-c ... n#comments
Shame I didnt proof read it but the sentement is there.
Well come on, they manage to telivise really Dull things like Cricket, Golf , Fishing. all pastimes.
and
No matter how dull the programme they somehow manage without all the silly bollocks or putting landmines on a Golf course etc to spice it up.

I think this clip, and the comments underneath, sum this pile of shite of a programme up very nicely.
