I opened all the available orifices, looked up to the blue sky and drove it with gay abandon pretending I was on my way to a tabac down some leafy D road.

I did the very same, and found just what I was looking for in Kidderminster's finest tabac, Aldi. I don't smoke (any more) though, so I just replenished my stock of mushrooms (non-magic), wine, and toilet bleach.

I then dashed home on the back roads, taking the widest sweep I could through the Worcestershire villages of Chaddesley Corbett, Belbroughton, Bell End (I kid you not), Romsley and Clent just so that I could go under as many trees as possible.

Going under trees in an open topped 2CV is one of life's true pleasures.

It seems today was a good day to have a 2cv.

I've not been able to enjoy the 2cv this week yet, I've had to use the 106 as I've been working on it after work at work and lumping some shit around. :(

ent to work in mine, with the roof down. About to go home again, with the roof down. Driving them open topped on a warm clear starry night really is a joy. I came most of the way back from Yorkshire on Sunday with the roof off, though that was mainly to keep me awake.

I've spent the last couple of days [mon/tues] cruising around North Derbyshire [Castleton/Edale/Hope/Hathersage area ] in my 2CV ......with the roof fully open and a Bob Dylan tape in the stereo...... 8-) feelin' as cool as penguin piss 8-)
Even the drive back through Sheffield last night was good ..... 8-)

Drove to Ludlow via Burntwood and back home to Stone today - lovely day with the roof off, spoilt only by discovering a rather alarming noise when coasting onto my drive from the gearbox....

Here's some photo's of my days 2cving.

Whilst waiting at a junction this morning I noticed a massive black dude who looked a bit like the guys in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRmFwpFY5bg , as he reached my car he leaned through the roof and said 'coooool maaaan', then walked away smiling and bopping his head. It was the first time I've ever smiled shortly after shitting myself but it set my day up nicely, making somebody smile before 8am doesn't often happen. I went to the pub with my boss at lunchtime, and he bought me lunch then we wobbled back to work in my eend. Today, was a *good* day.

I drove to work in the 106 as I needed to move stuff before work. Wasn't the case so was an hour early for work, so drive all the way home collected the 2cv and drove back to work again. Roof open!!

I then got home and re proofed the roof, then bought a euro millions ticket and an ice cream.
