Indeed it was. First time I've been spotted I think.

Hey Neil, was that red 400 on the cover of the mag sometime in the early '90s?
Really? I was the blonde bloke who took a photo of it then - we were camped just over the road at the top up from you!
No way! I never saw you taking the picture. Were you racing in the mudbath? How did you get on?

Walk past a few times but the owner of the car was nowhere to be seen otherwise would've said hi

and I was "racing"... :? If you can call it that! My best lap was 1:56 and started about 9ish on saturday so nice dark and wet lap there - not sure how many the whole team did as 3 out of the 10 man didn't bother coming! How did your team do?

We came 2nd in the Sport Mixed category, which I was well pleased with! I've done Mountain Mayhem before, but that was by far the worst conditions I've ever seen/ridden in. My 10pm Saturday lap was the worst thing I've ever done in my entire life! Still finished on a high though, and my Sunday morning stint was kind of fun, despite the ever-deteriorating conditions. Pity we didn't meet up.

Yeah... I even reconised the bloody sign on the van and the fact it was from matlock from somewhere - one of the previous "cool pics" threads I think?

I have to say even though it was dark, raining and incredibly muddy, I did thoroughly enjoy my lap - pushing up some of the steep muddy bits got a bit boring quite quickly though but was flying down some of those decents! (Due to not being able to see anything I think)

Yeah the past couple of years have been fine, 2010 was bone dry i think and I did a 50ish min lap but even 2008/9 didn't come close to the conditions this year!

Off to France tomorrow at 6:30am as going to ride some downhill around Morzine/Avoriaz :D Ever done anything like that?

Saw a beige coloured Mehari on the Worcester - Kidderminster road at about 7.30 tonight.

No, but I'd love to. I've done some road riding in the Alps, but not yet taken a mountain bike. Have fun, I'm very jealous!

Lovely condition X plate red Dyane near Southwold harbour yesterday..... Also there is a very nice black 2CV that lives in Southwold...Wish we had come over in the Beige Beast now!

It is by far the best riding I have ever done - you can't compare it with any other trails in the UK, even if you go up to Fort Bill! If you get the chance the Portes du Soleil area is amazing to ride (off road) ... :)
